Rozolio earned €45,800* for his efforts, which was a fantastic result after hitting a six-outer with eight players remaining on the final table.

The Ola Poker Tour was making its debut, with a variety of events on offer including NLH, Bounty, PLO, Ladies, High Roller, Team Event and the €500,000 GTD Main Event, which came with a €240 buy-in.

OLA MAIN EVENT DAY 3 RECAP

24 players returned to the Ola Poker Tour Main Event tables for Day 3 action on Monday, 23 June, 2025 at the King’s Resort, Rozvadov.

Matthias Kaltenberger (24th) was the first to depart after moving all in from early position with 7d 7h. ‘MR. Karotte‘ called from the small blind with Kd 9d and won the race on a 9h Td Th Ad 4c board.

Short stacked Bernd Koehler (23rd) exited when his Jc Ts was no good against Sebastian Kotowicz‘s 7s 7d on a Ad 6h 8c 6c 7c board.

Razvan Victor Popa (22nd), Michal Braciszewicz (21st), Anthony Mahaut (20th), and Paul Covaciu (19th) all departed soon after before a shock name appeared on the payouts when start-of-day chip leader ‘Alpine Nemesis‘ was eliminated in 18th place.

Marcin Kostera took 17th place before Kotowicz, representing Team SWiP in the Ola Poker Tour Team Battle, claimed 16th place.

Day 1D chip leader Matej Holecko moved all in for 8BB from early position with Tc 9h and was called by ‘BIG MIKE‘ on the button with 9s 9d. There was no miracle runout for Holecko, as the cards fell 7s 5d 2d 4s 8c and the Slovakian player exited in 15th for €3,860**.

On the Ola Poker Tour live stream, ‘SZBURATORUL‘ raised to 2BB with 8h 8c from early position and folded to a 6BB 3-bet from Dursun Orta on the button. In the next hand, ‘BIG MIKE’ raised to 2BB with Jd Jh from under the gun and ‘SZBURATORUL’ moved all in for 14BB from the big blind with 7s 7c. The bet was called and ‘SZBURATORUL’ was dominated. The dealer revealed Td 9h 2d Kh 4c and SZBURATORUL earned €3,475 in 14th place.

Poland’s ‘Zuhaan‘ was next all in with As Qh but had ran into Ks Kd. There was no miracle board, as 9c 6d Tc Qc 3s appeared, and he exited in 13th.

Czech Republic’s ‘SMRTAK‘ had featured heavily on the OLA live stream during Day 2, winning a huge hand to start the final day third in the chip rankings. But his run came to an end on the feature table when six-handed as he moved all in from under the gun for 6.5BB with Jc 2d. ‘DIRUMA‘ called on the button with 8s 8h before ‘OHNE_PLAST‘ moved all in for 20BB with Kh Kc. ‘DIRUMA’ had 24BB behind and called. Surprisingly, the Ks 8d 7s flop gave two players a set, but ‘OHNE_PLAST’ held on the 9h turn and 7d river. ‘SMRTAK’s run came to end, picking up €4,225** in 12th place.

Adrian‘ was next to be all in while in the big blind and holding 8h 4s and up against 8c 8d. His opponent was too strong on the 3s 3d 4c 9h Qh board, and his exit in 11th meant all remaining players were on the Ola Poker Tour Main Event final table bubble.

The UK’s ‘AsianFish‘ looked down at Ts Th and was all in from middle position, which was called by Alexander Metz in the small blind with the premium Qh Qs. The flop fell As Js 2h with the 2d on the turn. ‘AsianFish’ needed a ten on the river to survive, but the dealer flipped over a game ending Ad, which meant he missed out on a final table seat, and departed in 10th for €3,919.

The Ola Poker Tour Main Event final table of nine began with ‘BIG MIKE’ as the chip leader on 13M (43BB), followed by ‘Mr.Karotte’ on 41BB, ‘OHNE_PLAST’ on 40BB and Metz on 35M.

But the story that was about to take place only had one hero, with Metz causing elimination domination.

On the very first hand, ‘DIRUMA’ shoved for 8BB from under the gun with As 3s and ran into Metz’s Ac Kh to exit in 9th for €4,675.

Shlomi Rozolio, who after the event shared he was playing in one of his first live poker tournaments, showed that beginner’s luck really can be real after hitting a remarkable six-outer on the river to survive. Rozolio moved all in for 17BB from the small blind with 2h 2d, and was quickly called by Florian Bilan in the big blind with 8d 8c. The Ad As 5h flop was no help for Rozolio. The 4s turn gave more outs to the straight, but with a 85% chance of elimination, it was looking bleak for the Portuguese player. However, when the 2c was revealed on the river, the table erupted in surprised noise, and Rozolio jumped up the chip counts.

There was to be less luck for ‘BIG MIKE’ a few hands later, when his 10BB ended up in the middle with Kc Qs against Alexander Fischl‘s As Jh. The Ad Kd Jd 5d 6c board meant the end of ‘BIG MIKE’ in 8th for €5,650, but it was a great return from his €240 he paid to enter the Day 1 Pineapple Flip, where he won his 8-handed all-in hand to spin a 50,000 starting stack into a 400,000 Day 2 chip stack in a matter of seconds.

‘Mr.Karotte’ was involved in the Main Event drama from Day 2, when he hit a runner-runner flush with pocket nines to win a three-way all-in against pocket queens and pocket aces. His action-packed hands continued on Day 3 with his chip stack moving up and down in quick fashion. He then got it in good for his last 10BB with Ah Qd against Ad Jd, but was dismayed to see a As Jh 5h flop. The 6s hit the turn, but when the Qs hit the river, he could not hide his delight and paraded around the feature table in joy.

Up to this point of the final table, the play had been relatively conservative, with several of the short stacks surviving when at risk. However, when the players returned from break, the situation changed entirely as Metz took complete control, eliminating five opponents in just 45 minutes.

‘Mr.Karotte’ saw his luck end when he called all in with 8s 8h from the big blind with 15BB after Metz had shoved for 20BB from the button with Ac 9s. An ace appeared on the flop and again on the river to send ‘Mr.Karotte’ to the rail in 7th for €8,600.

Metz then raised to 2.7BB with Ad 9d from the Hijack and Bilan called in the big blind with Jd Ts. Bilan moved all in for 4.5BB on the Qd 8d 4s flop and Metz snap-called with the nut flush draw. Bilan needed help to survive but the board bricked out for the Romanian.

Bilan, who won the OLA Saturday Night Tournament, had shown discipline and emotional control throughout the Main Event and was rewarded with €11,950** in 6th place.

Moments later, Metz moved all in from the small blind with Ac Qc and ‘OHNE_PLAST’ risked his remaining chips holding Ah 4h. A board of 5d 9d 6s Tc Ad appeared, and the man from Czech Republic said his goodbyes to the remaining players in 5th for €25,000*.

Germany’s Fischl had been patiently waiting for his next opportunity and when he looked down at Jh Th from the big blind. Rozolio raised 2BB with Kh Jd and Metz called on the button with Ks Td. Fischl shoved for 10BB and Metz called after Rozolio folded. Fischl missed on the Ad 4c 3c 9d 3h board and exited in 4th for €29,100*.

Turkey’s Orta then secured a double holding A-K against Rozolio’s A-Q, but was soon at risk again, this time holding Kh Jh from the big blind and dominated by Metz’s As Ks. The Kc 8d Tc flop extended Metz’s advantage and Orta departed in 3rd for €35,800 after the 2h turn and Ah river.

Metz went into the heads-up battle against Rozolio with a big chip advantage, holding 61M (103BB) against 21M (35BB).

But the first 15 minutes went in Rozolio’s favor and he bought the chip stacks back to even after a flurry of small pot wins and importantly hitting two pair with 9-3 versus Q-2 on a Qd Th 9s 3s Ah board, with Metz forced to fold to an all-in river bet.

After 30 minutes of back-and-forth, a decisive hand occurred. Metz raised to 2BB with Td Tc and Rozolio called with 6c 4h. On the Qd 5d 3d flop, Rozolio check-called a 2BB bet and hit a straight on the 7h turn. Rozolio decided to lead with a 4.5BB bet and Metz called with second pair and the flush draw. The Ad on the river flipped the situation back into Metz’s favor, but with 14M (18BB) in the pot, Rozolio bet 3M (4BB). Metz paused for 10 seconds before raising to 7M and Rozolio quickly folded.

Metz then extended his lead after winning at showdown with 9-9 against Rozolio’s ace high, before the moment that sealed the German’s victory occurred.

Metz called on the button with Qs 2d and Rozolio checked with Jd 4c. The flop fell Qc Td 5c, Rozolio had 14BB to play with and bet 2BB with his jack high, which Metz called. The Kd hit the turn and Rozolio continued his story with a 4.5BB bet, having picked up the open-ended straight draw. With second pair, Metz asked Rozolio how much he had behind before raising all in.

Rozolio double-checked both his cards and chip stack before putting them into the middle for his tournament life. Rozolio needed help on the river, an ace or a nine to survive, as Metz stood from his chair and took steps around the table, waiting for the nervous final card.

The dealer then revealed the Qd to give Metz trips, the pot, the victory and the very first Ola Poker Tour Main Event champion’s trophy.

Metz was congratulated by Rozolio and poker content creator ‘LEMON‘ before he proudly raised the trophy in honor.
