OLA PLO EVENT ACTION RECAP

With 14 players remaining, and 13 places paid, it was time for the dreaded bubble action. Ultimately is was to a be a straight that caused the bubble to burst after Kh Tc 7h 3h defeated Ad Ts 9s 3s on a 6d 5c 4d 3c 2s board.

When down to the final 6, ‘chiKKita banAAna‘ was all in holding Qc Js Tc 8c and up against Daniel Assia’s Jc 9d 9h 6c. The 9c 7s 5s flop gave ‘chiKKita banAAna’ a set and he kept his lead on the 4h turn. But the 8h on the river fell in Assia’s favor for a straight and caused the knockout blow.

Aviv Cohen was then all in holding Jc 5d 3d 2c on a Qd Jh 2h flop for two pair with Luke Tatum holding Kh Ts 9h 8h for flush and straight possibilities. The 9s on the turn gave Tatum a straight and the Ad on the river sealed Cohen’s fate to exit in 5th for €922.

Assia exited in 4th for €1,143 after his Kc Qs 9c 6h on a Jh 5s 4h 8d 2c board was no good against Kd 7d 7s 5c.

Michal Mrakes, who has over $3M in live poker tournament cashes, was then all in holding 8s 7h 5s 4c from the Button on a 9c 5h 2h flop and against Ac 9d 8h 5d. The 8d on the turn and 3h on the river meant Mrakes was eliminated in 3rd for €1,460.

In the final hand, ‘MJT‘ was all in and at risk holding Jh 9s 5c 4h and Tatum revealed Ad Qh 6s 3c. The flop fell Ks 9c 6h giving both players a pair. The 2h on turn changed nothing, but the Qd on the river meant Tatum was declared the Ola Poker Tour PLO event champion, earning another 1 point for ITM Team Event challenge leaders Team British Poker Series.
