TURBO MORNING NLH – FINAL TABLE ACTION

On the final table of eight, tension was high, with seven places paid. The bubble action saw short stacks double time and time again and the pressure mounted, but ultimately it was to be a cooler hand that burst the bubble, after Ace-Jack ran into Pocket Aces.

With the remaining seven players in the money, there was soon to be a double elimination. With the flop down Th 6h 5h, three players revealed their holdings.

Jh 2h v 7h 6s v Ad Jc

An anonymous player known as ‘King of Kings‘ had flopped the Jack high flush and held on the 9d turn and Ah river, causing Sascha Firth (7th) and Albert Niewiadomy (6th) to exit.

STRELEC10‘ thought he had found a dream spot to double up with Pocket Kings against Ace-Nine but a brutal river card on the 9h 7s 4c Th As board meant he hit the rail in 5th place.

Paul Dijkstra was then forced all in from the Big Blind with their super short stack. Paul Spindler on the Button and ‘King of Kings‘ in the Small Blind called. Both players checked on all streets for a showdown with Dijkstra getting the triple up with only Jack High holding Js 4d on the Ah Qd Ts 6c Th board.

Spindler then moved all in from the cutoff with Ad Kd and ‘King of Kings‘ called on the Button with As Qh. Dijkstra in the Small Blind put the rest of their short stack back into the middle holding Qs Jc, and Omit folded in the Big Blind.

The board ran out Ac 2c 2h 5h Td, with Spindler securing the pot, and Dijkstra departing in 4th place.

Three-handed, Omit was all in from the Button with Qc 7h and was called by ‘King of Kings‘ in the Big Blind holding Ac Jd.

The 7d 3s 5c flop put Omit into the lead, and the 8h on the turn was a safe card. But ‘King of Kings‘ had previous form of hitting an Ace on the river to eliminate an opponent, and it was to occur again when the dealer revealed the Ace of Diamonds as the final card.

The heads-up battle was a short affair, as ‘King of Kings‘ continued his dominance. In the final hand, both players got their chips into the middle preflop. ‘King of Kings‘ holding Ac Td and Spindler with Kh 8d.

King of Kings‘ held the advantage and a 65% chance of becoming the very first OLA champion. The flop fell all diamonds, 7 4 3, and when the Ace of Diamonds appeared on the turn, both players hit the flush, but it was ‘King of Kings‘ with the higher, and his victory was confirmed.
