Wise Wins OLA Morning Turbo!

Sebastian Wise has become a two-time OLA champion after winning the opening event of 2026 at the King’s Resort.

Wise won the brand-new OLA trophy after a heads-up deal with Team BPS member, Umberan Akhtar.

The opening event featured a €125 buy-in and drew in 37 entries.

Final Table Action

KKPoker online qualifier Abat Nagimetov exited in 8th after his Q-J was no good against Wise’s A-J.

However, despite this, Nagimetov went on to have an extraordinary run in Main Event Day 1A. Read all about that here.

Wise then caused another elimination to burst the money bubble when his A-T held up against Samuel De Vos‘ J-7 suited after a Small Blind shove.

Sven Lier was the first to collect his prize after his A-8 couldn’t come back against A-Q.

Next up, on a flop of AH TD 3H, Steve was all in, but was unfortunate to see his Pocket Kings behind to A-6. He couldn’t find a way back and exited in 5th.

Pascal Mueller then held A-9 suited and got all his chips into the middle with the nut flush draw on JC QC 6H, but Wise had Pocket Aces and held on to score another KO.

Husar64 then found a spot to go all in from the Small Blind with A-8 but ran into A-J.

The final two agreed to chop the remaining prize money and played on for the honor of winning the OLA champion’s trophy.

Umberan Akhtar made some early aggressive moves, going all in multiple times to pressure Wise. But in the final hand, Akhtar called on the button with 8-9 suited, and then called an all in from Wise, who revealed Q-T suited.

The 9D 8S 7H flop gave Akhtar two pair, and the KH turn had him still leading, but the JD river gave Wise a straight and after chip counts were verified, Wise was declared an OLA champion for the second time to back up his 2025 High Roller title at King’s Resort.
